I heard this line many times in English movies - "What do you doing here?". Is this sentence grammatically correct? Shouldn't it be "What are you doing here?" instead? I am unable to understand the reason as in the past continuous sentence it should be [IS/AM/ARE] + verb's I form + ing. Please throw some light on this.
"What are you doing here?" is the correct form.
Maybe it is because the sound linkage between "what are you" is a bit close to "what do you".
